Environmental Graphics & Wayfinding
This ambitious project aims to offer high-quality housing primarily for Indigenous students and their families, ensuring that the environment does not feel colonial or institutional but instead fosters a sense of community and belonging. My team and I were entrusted with the vital task of developing an interior and exterior signage system that resonates with these values and enhances the overall experience for the residents.
In collaboration with the college and the K’omoks First Nation, we meticulously crafted custom pictograms to reflect the unique cultural heritage of the Indigenous community. Our design concepts were thoughtfully developed to align with the project's budget constraints while maintaining the integrity and aesthetic appeal of the signage system. This portfolio showcases the journey of our design process, highlighting the collaborative efforts and creative solutions that brought this project to life.
